The Cyprus Investment Funds Association (CIFA) held a meeting with the newly appointed Chairman of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), Mr George Karatzias, and Vice-Chairman, Mr Loukas Lagoudis, reaffirming the importance of constructive dialogue and cooperation between the regulator and the investment funds industry.

The meeting provided an opportunity for CIFA Board members to congratulate the new leadership on their appointments and exchange views on the developments, challenges and opportunities facing Cyprus' investment funds sector.

Discussions focused on the importance of maintaining a strong, transparent and effective regulatory environment that safeguards investors while supporting the sustainable development and international competitiveness of the industry.

The meeting also highlighted the value of continued cooperation in addressing emerging industry challenges, facilitating the effective implementation of regulatory requirements and strengthening Cyprus' position as a credible European investment funds jurisdiction.
