CIFA Submits Response to CySEC Consultation on Proposed Fee Amendments
The Cyprus Investment Funds Association (CIFA) has formally submitted its response to the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission's (CySEC) Consultation Paper CP-04-2026, concerning the proposed amendments to the fees payable by entities operating within the Collective Investment Management sector.
The submission reflects the collective views of CIFA's membership, incorporating feedback received through the Association's consultation process as well as comments submitted directly to the Secretariat. CIFA extends its sincere appreciation to all members who contributed their valuable insights and recommendations.
In its response, CIFA reiterates its support for a strong, well-resourced and effective supervisory framework, recognising the essential role of CySEC in safeguarding the integrity and reputation of the Cyprus investment funds industry. At the same time, the Association emphasises the importance of ensuring that any revisions to the fee structure remain proportionate, transparent and aligned with Cyprus's competitiveness as an international investment funds jurisdiction.
The submission also puts forward a number of constructive recommendations aimed at striking an appropriate balance between effective regulatory supervision and the sustainable growth of the sector.
The Association remains committed to maintaining a constructive and open dialogue with CySEC and looks forward to continuing its engagement with the regulator throughout the consultation process.
